IHG Voco™ Brussels City North hotel
5 x H600 Cascade
1.314.000 liters | 347,122 US gallons
Designed with tomorrow in mind.
The IHG Voco™ Brussels City North hotel, which opened in September 2023 in Vilvoorde, Belgium, stands out with its striking architecture, resembling the bright blue bow of a ship. With 92 rooms, the hotel combines modern design with eco-conscious operations, offering amenities such as a restaurant and a conference center.
Situated next to the Living Tomorrow Innovation Center, a hub where professionals explore the trends and technologies shaping the future, the hotel faced a key challenge: managing high water consumption in a busy urban location while maintaining sustainability goals.
The solution.
Hydraloop engineers designed a system to collect and treat shower water from 58 rooms, making it suitable for reuse in toilet flushing. This approach allowed the hotel to reduce potable water demand, advance its sustainability goals, and showcase eco-friendly practices to guests without compromising on comfort or design.
