With Hydraloop, you lower both your water consumption and your wastewater emission by 25% to 45%. You also reduce your carbon footprint, because less water needs to be transported to and from the building, and less water needs to be cleaned in wastewater facilities. In countries with cooler winter climates, you also save energy. With Hydraloop, you use water twice – without compromising on living comfort or hygiene.
HOW HYDRALOOP WORKS
Unique water treatment technology:
no filters, membranes or chemicals
Each Hydraloop device uses a unique combination of sustainable water treatment technologies that ensures the highest water quality, without requiring regular maintenance or doing harm to the environment.
Most water treatment systems depend on filters or membranes. They often get dirty and clogged, so they need regular cleaning, maintenance, and replacement. Most water treatment systems also add chemicals to their water treatment process. This can harm the environment.
Hydraloop’s patented technology is consumer friendly, carefree and sustainable. Our treatment process removes dirt, soap and other pollution from greywater without the use of filters, membranes, or chemicals. Hydraloop combines six different technologies: sedimentation, floatation, dissolved air floatation, foam fractionation, an aerobic bioreactor, and disinfection of the cleaned water with powerful UV light.
ONLINE USER COMFORT
Every Hydraloop device is monitored online 24/7 through a remote server. All important components in the system are constantly checked for safety. In case of abnormal behavior of a component, a Hydraloop device automatically switches to backup water and sends a caution message to you and your installer.
All Hydraloop devices work completely automatically. With the Hydraloop smartphone app, you can see exactly how much water you recycle and save per day, week or month. The app shows you how to optimize your water saving by giving tips and information. You can also use the app to prioritize the usage of recycled water or to put your unit in holiday mode.

If you live in a country with a cooler winter climate, you will save energy with your Hydraloop device. How does that work?
Heat radiation
After taking a shower or bath, the water you used is still warm. This water flows through the piping of your building into the Hydraloop, releasing its remaining warmth to surrounding areas through radiation. This means you need less energy to keep these areas warm. The water will cool down and release its surplus heat until it reaches room temperature.
No more import of cold water for toilet flushing
In Europe, an average household of four uses around 130 liters (34 gallons) of water per day to flush the toilets. In other regions, it’s much more. Without a Hydraloop device, after each flush, the toilet reservoir fills up with tap water from outside the house. In colder seasons, this water will be quite cold. Once inside, the water will automatically warm up to room temperature, using energy from the heating system of your building.
With a Hydraloop device, after each flush, the toilet reservoir fills up with reusable water from inside the house. This water already has room temperature, so it doesn’t require energy to heat up.
Less electricity for the washing machine
Without a Hydraloop device, your washing machine imports cold water from outside to inside the house. In colder seasons, the washing machine needs more electricity to heat this cold water from outside temperatures to washing temperatures of 40 °C
(100 °F) or more.
With a Hydraloop device, your washing machine uses reusable water that is already at room temperature. The machine uses far less energy to heat this water to washing temperatures.

With a Hydraloop Cascade, the lay-out of the piping network of the building(s) takes preparation. We offer scalable made-to-measure solutions for projects of any size. Please send us drawings and additional information about your building(s), so we can provide you with a plumbing proposal with the best solution for your project.
PLUG & PLAY
Installing and commissioning a Hydraloop device is comparable with connecting a washing machine. First, the plumbing is prepared, then your Hydraloop installer places the device and fits the connections for water, wastewater and internet. Then, the device is switched on and tested by the installer. The central Hydraloop server does a quick scan to check the system performance and connections. After that, the installation is finished, and the system will begin its start-up procedure.
If your building is Recycle Ready according to our indications, the installation and commissioning process will take no longer than ±1,5 hours.
MAINTENANCE
Hydraloop products have very low maintenance requirements. All devices are self-cleaning, so they don’t need regular cleaning or servicing. The online Hydraloop central server monitors the performance of each unit 24/7 and all Hydraloop device components are checked internally.
In the unlikely case of a malfunction, your Hydraloop device will automatically adapt to the situation. If, for example, the UV disinfection lamp should fail, the device will automatically switch to backup water. The smartphone app will you send a notification and notify your Hydraloop installer by email.
We recommend an overall preventive maintenance check by your Hydraloop installer once every 2 years.

certified by:
NSF: The NSF/ANSI 350 (Class R) standard verifies that all design and performance requirements of the standard have been met and confirms through 26-week testing that effluent reuse water meets the stringent quality criteria for designated uses.
PIA: PIA is an internationally accredited and notified testing body in Germany for the certification of wastewater treatment products and has granted Hydraloop its certificate.
KIWA: This world leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) granted Hydraloop its safety certificate.
This document states that the Hydraloop H300 system complies with the FCC standard.
This Belgaqua certificate approves all Hydraloop models according to the EN 1717 norm. EN 1717 deals with the protection of potable water supplies from pollution caused by back-flow.
Hydraloop has been awarded the Swiss quality label ‘Efficient Solution’ by the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions.
The UPC® mark demonstrates compliance to the Uniform Plumbing Code®, the only plumbing code named an American National Standard and the basis of plumbing codes that protect more than one half of the world’s population.
