For the owners of Dar Mon Loisir (@darmonloisir), a vacation rental residence consisting of three apartments in Tabarka, sustainability was more than an ambition, it was a necessity.
Located in a region where water availability becomes increasingly strained during the busy summer season, the property needed a solution that would reduce dependence on freshwater while maintaining a comfortable experience for guests.
The owners wanted to actively contribute to water conservation in Tunisia, driven by their belief that water is the world's most valuable resource, often referring to it as "blue gold." Their goal was to make the residence more resilient against seasonal water shortages and outages while demonstrating that sustainable water management is both practical and impactful.
The project also presented unique logistical challenges. As the first Hydraloop system imported into Tunisia and the first residential greywater recycling system of its kind in both Tunisia and North Africa.
Dar Mon Loisir installed one Hydraloop H600 greywater recycling system to capture, treat, and reuse water from showers and baths for toilet flushing and washing machine.
The installation was completed with our official partner in Tunisia, BIAA-GROUP, marking an important milestone for sustainable water reuse in the region.
Since becoming operational on 16 April, the Hydraloop H600 has already saved more than 2,710 litres of water, demonstrating the immediate and measurable benefits of greywater recycling in an area where every litre matters.
