The story

Located in Friesland, Netherlands, Hof fan Lemmer is a visionary residential development commissioned by De Kompanjon BV and Wind Groep BV, in close collaboration with the Municipality of De Fryske Marren.

The ambition of Hof fan Lemmer is to become "a water district for the future, where sustainability is a given". Homeowners are encouraged to make their properties as sustainable as possible and water plays a central role throughout the neighborhood. Here, drinking water is no longer flushed down toilets, replaced instead with rainwater or recycled shower water.

How it came to be

Future-proof water management in a sustainable neighborhood.

Out of 70 homes, 38 homeowners have chosen Hydraloop as their greywater recycling solution. Each of these homes will be equipped with a Hydraloop H300.

Homeowners were free to choose their own construction partner. The homes are being built by a range of experienced building companies, including Bouwbedrijf Veenstra, Knol de Jong, Selekthuis, Bouwbedrijf Postma, Groendijk, Bovenhuis, Bouwbedrijf van der Woude, Bouwbedrijf Regeling Beerzerveld, Hetebrij Bouw, ECOhûs, JD Bouw Emmeloord, and Heutink Groep.

During construction, the selected builders install the required piping infrastructure, while Hydraloop takes care of system installation and commissioning. This ensures a fully integrated, future-proof water system from day one.
