Just 200 meters from the shoreline, Hôtel de l’Océan blends comfort, local culture, and eco-conscious hospitality. With 16 cosy rooms, including one accessible suite, and 21 sanitary facilities, guests enjoy modern amenities and authentic experiences, from yoga on the beach to exploring the Currents d’Huchet nature reserve.

Operating a boutique hotel near the coast comes with high water demand, from showers and taps to laundry and plant irrigation. The management wanted a solution that reduced water consumption, lowered utility costs, and maintained hygiene and guest comfort, without disrupting daily operations or the boutique experience.

The solution.

Hôtel de l’Océan installed a Hydraloop Cascade system to collect greywater from showers, taps, and washing machines. Treated water is reused for toilet flushing, laundry, cleaning, and irrigation. After just eight months, the system has already saved over 400,000 liters of water and €1,600 in utility costs.

The project demonstrates that sustainable water management can deliver real financial and environmental benefits, with the total investment expected to be fully recovered within a few years.
